"The truth shall set you free"

"The truth shall set you free"

How many times have you heard this phrase?

It seams to pour over with faith based tones. Well, it should.

Its from the Bible. John 8:32 "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

No matter what ones beliefs are, something resonates into a daily life lesson with this phrase.

It’s a mantra that could possibly lead you to your truth.

Speak the truth, live the truth, be your truth, be dedicated to your truth!

Have you not found your truth yet? That’s because you’ve been lying to yourself and you don’t know what the truth is.

Start by discontinuing the lies you tell yourself. Telling stories in your own head of loneliness, insecurity and want, perpetuates those into tangible displays of loneliness, insecurity and want.

How many times have you wanted to ask a person out on a date, or wanted to save up for a new residence, wanted to change your wellness habits, wanted to have a long needed conversation with a distant friend or family member? Have you talked yourself out of it? “I cant afford good quality food”, “She never liked me in school, I’m sure she wont want to see me when I’m in Chicago next week”, “he looks like a nice guy, but he’s so handsome, he wouldn’t give me the time of day”, “I want to move to better place but I’m stuck where I am”, “ I cant go to the gym because I need to get this report done for my manager”

Do any of these sound familiar?

We talk ourselves out of making changes in life, we become complacent in our misery, our routine, our pattern, our budget etc…When in fact each of us has the power to change our story by telling ourselves the truth.

The lies we tell ourselves and others become our truth, they become our walls of protection, but also our walls of detainment. Being blocked in by lies is not fun. One lie leads to another and another and so on, until we don’t know what our truth is. If you want to feel and see an immediate change in your life…..STOP LYING!

Thoughts and Prayers

This is one of my favorite prayers, it applies to just about any faith.
Enjoy your day and stay dedicated to your truth!

Prayer of St Therese of Lisieux:

May today there be peace within.

May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.

May you use those gifts that you have received,

and pass on the love that has been given to you.

May you be content knowing you are a child of God.

Let this presence settle into your bones,

and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love.

It is there for each and every one of us.

Labor of Love

Interesting thought.
Labor, work, activity, good deeds, OCD, cleaning, perfection.

If we (in our mind) do enough in our community, we will be accepted.
If we ( in our mind) have a clean enough home, we will be looked upon favorably and be validated.
If we (In our mind) are perfect in how we love, we will be loved.

Checking in is looking for validation

However, all of the activity and energy we put into that quest becomes empty and futile because we are now focused on the act of what we do. The good energy that was once exchanged has changed into energy focused on the vehicle or the action.

If we simply live as we are, we live as we are. No more, no less.

Do you labor for love, or labor to get love?

Friday Wish

Its been a great day.
I recently got in touch with some old friends. Many I thought couldn't care much about what Im doing and such. I was incorrect. I am Humbled

As many know, I'm a Medical Marijuana user. Old Rodeo injuries from when I rode bare back Broncs resulted in surgery.
It's is the best way for me to manage my pain and I do it legally and responsibly.
Yet my body and my mind free up as if it was the illegal stuff.

I listened to this track a few times today...its 7:23 in length.
Its enough time to really ease into it and flow along.
Its Horace Silver. The song is "Song for my Father"
many songs have generated from this one..."Ricky don't Lose that number" ring a bell?

My Friday wish for you is:
Find a space of Peace for yourself this weekend, Love yourself as much as you love others, and dance to this song at least once!

MUNI fares rise again!

Here we go again. A rise in public transportation prices in the SF Bay area without a benefit to the customer. Poor service, lack of courteous customer service and dirty, ill kept busses and trains, prompt me to suggest a financial protest against MUNI.
Instead of purchasing a monthly MUNI pass, pay per ride.
Let them know we do not approve of this rate hike!
